About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Psychologist (P3) to join the Allied Health team within Adult Inpatient Mental Health Services (AIMHS). This role provides psychological services across the Acacia and Banksia Units, as well as other inpatient teams within the service.

Working under the limited direction of the Allied Health Manager and Allied Health Clinical Lead, you will exercise independent professional judgement to provide assessment and evidence-based interventions for people experiencing complex and serious mental health conditions. The role involves conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and delivering both individual and group-based therapeutic interventions within a recovery-focused framework.

As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to collaborative care planning, support consumers to achieve their recovery goals, participate in clinical supervision and professional development, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives across the service.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled psychologist with experience working with people experiencing complex mental health conditions. You will demonstrate strong assessment and intervention skills, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to recovery-oriented practice. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to build effective therapeutic relationships and contribute positively to consumer outcomes. A commitment to ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and continuous improvement will also be highly regarded.

Note: This is a part-time (29.4 hours per week) temporary position available for a period of six months with the possibility of extension. The full-time salary noted above will be paid pro rata for part-time hours.
