Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist or Registrar – Thrive in our Teaching Clinic

Employee or Contractor Opportunities Available

Looking for more than just another private practice?

At Life & Mind Psychology, we’re building something special.

We are a growing specialist psychology practice and teaching clinic committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based psychological care while supporting the next generation of psychologists.

Our vision extends beyond traditional therapy. Through individual treatment, workshops, education programs, school partnerships, webinars and community initiatives, we’re passionate about improving psychological wellbeing across our community.

We’re looking for a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Registrar who shares our commitment to clinical excellence, lifelong learning and making a meaningful difference.

Why Life & Mind Psychology?

Build Your Ideal Caseload

We believe the right caseload is more important than simply a full caseload.

Rather than expecting every clinician to see the same mix of clients, we work with you to develop a caseload that reflects your interests, strengths and long-term career goals.

Whether your passion lies in trauma, couples therapy, anxiety, depression, parenting, neurodiversity, grief, or another speciality, we’ll help you build the practice you want.

Join a Teaching Clinic

Learning is part of our culture.

As a teaching clinic, we are committed to developing psychologists at every stage of their career through:

  • High-quality supervision, including group supervision

  • Mentoring and professional guidance

  • Collaborative case discussions

  • Peer consultation

  • Reflective practice

  • Ongoing professional development

  • Support for Clinical Psychology Registrars working toward endorsement

If you enjoy mentoring others, there will also be opportunities to contribute to the development of early-career psychologists as our practice continues to grow.

A Career That Can Grow With You

Many psychologists want opportunities beyond one-to-one therapy.

At Life & Mind Psychology, you’ll have the opportunity to become involved in:

  • Developing treatment programs

  • Creating workshops and webinars

  • Community education

  • School wellbeing initiatives

  • Resource development

  • Clinical leadership opportunities

  • Supervision and mentoring

  • Building your own area of expertise within the practice

Clinical Excellence Matters

We’re committed to providing outstanding client care.

You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians who value:

  • Ethical decision-making

  • Clinical curiosity

  • Collaboration

  • Continuous improvement

  • Reflective practice

Our goal isn’t simply to keep diaries full—it’s to help every clinician become the best psychologist they can be.

We Invest in Our Clinicians

You’ll enjoy:

  • Flexible employment or contractor arrangements

  • Full-time or part-time opportunities (3–5 days)

  • Excellent administrative support

  • Efficient diary management

  • Marketing support to help build your preferred caseload

  • A collaborative and supportive team culture

  • Professional development opportunities

  • Opportunities for career progression as the practice grows

  • A workplace that genuinely values clinician wellbeing

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with AHPRA

  • A Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Registrar

  • Warm, approachable and professional

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care

  • Committed to ethical and evidence-based practice

  • Motivated to continue learning and developing professionally

  • Collaborative and enjoys being part of a supportive team

  • Excited to contribute to a growing practice with an innovative vision

Why Our Psychologists Choose to Stay

At Life & Mind Psychology, we intentionally build careers—not just caseloads.

Our clinicians tell us they value:

  • A caseload aligned with their interests and strengths

  • Feeling supported by experienced colleagues

  • Being trusted with clinical autonomy

  • A culture that values learning, curiosity and collaboration

  • Opportunities to continue growing professionally
