Your opportunity
Southern Cross
University’s Faculty of Health is
seeking a Lecturer in Psychology to contribute to high-quality teaching and
program development within the Psychology discipline. You will deliver
engaging, student-centred learning experiences and contribute to curriculum
innovation, supporting student success within the Southern Cross Model.
You will make an impact by:

Delivering high-quality
teaching in psychology across undergraduate and postgraduate programs
·
Designing and developing
innovative curriculum and learning resources
·
Contributing to scholarly
activity that informs teaching and enhances student outcomes
·
Engaging with industry,
community, and professional networks to support program outcomes
·
Supporting unit
coordination and contributing to Faculty initiatives and continuous improvement
What you
will bring
You are a passionate
psychology educator who thrives on creating engaging learning experiences and
supporting student success. You bring a collaborative mindset and enjoy
contributing to a dynamic academic environment.
To succeed in this role,
you will also need:
- A PhD in Psychology
(essential), current registration - with no conditions - as a registered
psychologist with AHPRA and at least 5 years of practice experience.
- Endorsement as a
Board-approved supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia is desirable but
not essential.
- Demonstrated excellence in
teaching Psychology (theoretical and applied) in a university setting.
- Demonstrated success in the
use of contemporary educational technologies in blended and online
environments, including digital interactive content delivery.
- An appropriate track record
in research or teaching scholarship relative to level and academic profile,
including where possible publications in highly ranked journals, and
supervision of honours/higher degree research candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and
communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and
collegially with academic, professional, and external stakeholders.

Your opportunity is:
- Part-time (80%), continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Gold Coast, QLD 4225 (preferred) or Coffs Harbour, NSW
2450. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional
communities.
- ACAD Level B. The base salary ranges from $91,586 - $108,314 per annum,
plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration
package is up to $126,727.
