Private Practice | Sydney Lower North Shore

I am a solo clinical psychologist in private practice and am looking to thoughtfully expand by welcoming one psychologist to join the practice as an independent contractor.

This role would suit a clinician seeking a quiet, calm, and well-supported environment, who is comfortable working independently onsite, with remote administrative support and access to collegial contact as needed.

The Setup

• One fully furnished consulting room
• Walk-in, walk-out arrangement — the room is fully set up with everything required
• Client referrals provided
• Clinician operates alone onsite (no other clinicians or admin physically present)
• Remote admin support provided (bookings, billing, and referrals)
• Principal psychologist available remotely and contactable as needed
• Mix of in-person and telehealth clients, with admin support for both

This is a simple, streamlined setup designed to allow you to focus on clinical work without the noise or pace of a large group practice.

Availability

• Consulting room available Thursdays (fixed) and Saturdays as optional
• Start date: ASAP! But beginning of March is ideal
• Choose your own hours
• Minimum of 5 clients per consulting day but you are welcome to structure your day as you wish

Contractor Fee Structure

• 55/45 split in your favour for days of 5 clients
• 60/40 split in your favour for days of 5+ clients

The structure is transparent and designed to support sustainability while rewarding higher clinical load, without pressure to overbook.

What This Role Is Not

This role is not:

• A large or busy group practice
• A clinic with onsite admin staff or multiple clinicians present
• An employee position
• A role with supervision provided or a supervision allowance

About You

You will be:

• AHPRA-registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist
• Eligible for (or able to obtain) a Medicare provider number
• Operating with your own ABN
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor
• Clinically thoughtful, reliable, and self-directed
