Job Description
Epworth HealthCare is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Grade 3 Clinical Psychologist to become part of our dynamic rehabilitation team based in Hawthorn. This is a part-time opportunity (0.6 EFT), ideal for a clinician looking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and multidisciplinary environment.

Your role will be to provide psychological assessment and treatment to clients across a range of interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs including pain management, oncology, neurological, concussion, and cardiac services. This includes an interesting mix of inpatient and outpatient and individual and group interventions.
As a Grade 3 Psychologist, you will also contribute to the leadership activities of the department including staff and student supervision and site coordination for the psychology team.
We offer a range of clinical supports including supervision and professional development opportunities. You will work closely with a committed and dynamic multidisciplinary team including allied health, medicine, and nursing, and be part of the Psychology Department leadership team.
The Psychology Department at Epworth works within the Rehabilitation Division and has a long history of providing high quality care to adults undertaking rehabilitation programs at Epworth. With more than 25 psychologists across three Melbourne locations, you will be joining a vibrant and dynamic team and will be given access to supervision and professional development opportunities.
You will make an impact by:
- Using your well developed clinical skills to determine and deliver appropriate psychological assessments and interventions for patients which contribute to their health and well-being
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate standards of practice relating to patient admission, assessment, treatment, family liaison and discharge planning
- Working collaboratively with other team members to support client rehabilitation goals and functional outcomes
- Collaborating with the senior psychology leadership team to provide supervision and performance development support for junior psychology staff, registrars and students
- Contributing to the activities of the department including planning events, professional development, and service development
- Coordinating service provision and development for the psychology team as appropriate for the needs of the site and patient mix
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Advanced clinical skills including in psychological assessment and intervention
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in working in healthcare teams and ideally hospital systems
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience beyond degree completion
- Experience and registration as a Board approved supervisor with AHPRA
- Leadership and collaborative qualities

Qualifications
- A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Health or Counselling Psychology
- General Psychologist registration with AHPRA with (or working towards) area of practice endorsement in Clinical, Health or Counselling Psychology
