Northern Beaches Clinical Psychology is a highly respected Clinical Psychology practice located in Brookvale on Sydney’s northern beaches. We are committed to providing the highest standard of psychological care to children, adolescents, adults and families.

Our practice Principal, Raechel Auld, is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, who has been providing psychology services to clients since 2009. We have a purpose-built calm, comfortable and modern practice in the Lifestyle Working building, conveniently located beside Warringah Mall and close to public transport. Two-hour visitor parking is available for clients onsite and there is a café on the ground floor.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Registrar to join our practice as a contractor, providing psychological therapy to children, adolescents and their families. The role will be one to two days per week initially, with the potential to increase days as your caseload increases.

What you will bring to the role

·       A passion, commitment and dedication to providing the highest standard of psychological care to clients using evidence-based psychological therapies

·       A calm, empathic, compassionate and positive manner when working with clients, together with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships.

·       A professional, respectful and collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues

·       Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

·       Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology at Masters, PsyD or PhD level with endorsement to practice in the area of Clinical Psychology, or you are currently undertaking (or about to undertake) the Clinical Psychology registrar program.

·       Suitable experience working with children, adolescents and adults

·       Ideally you will have completed, or have a desire to complete additional training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Therapy and other evidence-based psychological therapies

·       Participation in regular clinical supervision, reflective practice and continuing professional development as required by the Psychology Board of Australia

·       Current AHPRA registration, a current NSW Working with Children Check and your own Professional indemnity and public liability insurance as a contractor

·       Eligibility to apply for a Medicare provider number
