Psychologist (Contractor) – Women’s Health, Eating Disorder, Trauma, and/or ADHD/Autism Niche

Elevate Psychology Group is a private psychology practice located in Burwood and Cheltenham. We are seeking psychologists with aligned niche interests and experience to join us as independent contractors at our Cheltenham location. 

Who we are and who we’re looking for:

Here at Elevate Psychology Group, we partner with clients to help them pursue their aspirations for healing, change and growth. We are a collaborative private psychology practice, and work closely with our partner GPs and dieticians to provide holistic and tailored care.

When clients choose to attend Elevate Psychology Group, we want them to be able to access competent, considered care that genuinely meets their needs. Our clients are often highly motivated and high performing, but have found it difficult to find the right psychologist to address their specific needs.

 We are therefore seeking psychologists with an interest in, and capability to treat clients across adult and/or adolescent populations who are experiencing any of the following:

·       Attachment disturbances

·       Trauma, including emotional neglect and CPTSD

·       Eating disorders (Binge Eating, OSFED and/or Bulimia, Anorexia, AFRID)

·       Peri menopause and menopause

·       ADHD and Autism

A strong interest in formulation and considered treatment planning is highly valued.

There is also the option to diversify your practice and conduct psychological assessments, offer group psychology programs or couples psychology if these areas align with your skills and interest.

What We’re Looking For

Background, registration & experience:

·       Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.

·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a psychologist, experience in private practice highly valued 

·       Demonstrated expertise in delivering evidence-based interventions.

·       Experience working with target populations (Eating Disorders, ADHD/Autism, High Performers, Trauma)

·       Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility), GST registered, operate under own ABN, Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain; for those working with children and adolescents).

Personal skills & approach:

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively.

·       A commitment to clinical excellence, ongoing professional growth, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients

·       An interest in collaborative, integrative care and a willingness and comfort working closely with our GP referrers

·       Interest in being part of a community of practice with other psychologists e.g. peer supervision.
