Melbourne Clinical & Child Psychology brings together a group of independent endorsed (registrar) Psychologists to provide a comprehensive psychology service for all age ranges. Our group includes Clinical Psychologists, Educational and Developmental Psychologists and Clinical Neuropsychologists. We have an excellent and longstanding reputation amongst the community including as a teaching clinic with internships for masters in clinical psychology students.

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Psychologist with an interest in working with parents and children to join our Armadale or Beaumaris Clinic.  

About You

You have a strong interest in working with parents and children and would like to work in an environment with support and opportunity for clinical review. You may currently work in public mental health and are thinking about transitioning to private practice. This is a great opportunity to experience how private practice can be fulfilling and supportive within a collegial environment.

We also welcome recent graduates of master’s and doctoral Programmes. Our team is a mix of established and early career Psychologists, and we love the opportunity to learn from each other.

Your New Workspace

Our Clinics in Armadale and Beaumaris are in village settings surrounded by shops and cafes. Our practices are beautifully designed with windows facing greenery, high end furniture and decoration so that you love the space you are working in. Our Armadale Clinic is a traditional terrace with large rooms, fireplaces, and an elegant warm atmosphere. Our Beaumaris Clinic is a warm, light and inviting house with a garden and takes its inspiration from the bayside.

We offer the support of our amazing administration team who will match your clients to your clinical interests. We provide seamless technology including computers, secure messaging, practice management software, eFax, etc. Telehealth is conducted via Zoom Health and secure communications. We also offer a professional library and clinical resources.

We value a sociable atmosphere and arrange regular catch-ups, professional development, sharing of therapeutic ideas and clinical support. Building a sense of community is important to us, so we provide espresso coffee, fruit, snacks and more to encourage break times and communication. We value peer supervision and can provide supervision for Endorsement in the Clinical Psychology Registrar program.

Requirements:

· AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with Endorsement (or registrar) with interest and / or experience in working with children and parents
