About Inner Focus Psychology

Inner Focus Psychology is a small practice in Northcote, expanding to a second location in Brunswick East. There are consulting options available for both locations. 

The vision of Inner Focus is to provide deep-acting and effective therapy to clients, to facilitate inner healing and personal growth. 

Supportive guidance is available, however psychologists work autonomously and independently, with control over client bookings, breaks, and leave.

The director (Alice Crole) is a clinical psychologist, ISTDP-accredited therapist, supervisor, and university-qualified naturopath, who treats practitioners, staff, and clients with consistent warmth, openness, and respect. 

Inner Focus typically attracts motivated and self-aware clients who are generally lovely to work with! Common presenting complaints include: Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, grief, relationship and communication problems, work/career challenges, feeling stuck, and past trauma. 

About You 

Inner Focus is seeking a motivated and personable psychologist, passionate about this work.

An interest in psychodynamic/analytic therapy (including ISTDP and schema therapy), emotion-focused therapy, EMDR, holistic mental health, and/or relationship counselling would be a great fit for this clinic. We often receive referrals from clients who have tried CBT and are looking for a deeper-acting therapy. 

The Premises

Inner Focus is co-located at 2A Elm Street in Northcote, with a multidisciplinary health clinic, Aesara Health (co-founded by the Inner Focus director). The clinic is freshly renovated with the aim to help clients feel at ease and in good hands as they enter the front door.

Together with Aesara Health, we are opening a second location on Lygon Street, in Brunswick East in June 2025, with new, beautifully appointed therapy rooms.

-       Option for inter-team referrals and collaborations

-       Option for referrals with neighbouring businesses (e.g. GP clinics)

Psychology-Specific Features

-       Supervision available (registrar program or otherwise)

-       Guidance with commencing private practice as required (e.g. obtaining Medicare provider no., GP letter templates)

-       Administration: Includes sourcing new referrals, intake, booking appointments, process payments and rebates

-       Marketing: The practice manager will add your bio and profile picture to the website and promote your services to generate referrals

-       65:35 split rate (greater rate considered for 4+ full days); practitioners can keep the full after hours additional fee. Client fees to be increased soon after turn of financial year

Applications will be considered for practitioners looking for the equivalent of one full day (e.g. one full day or two half days) per week or more
