About the Department / Program 

The BeWell Program sits within the Psychology Program of Monash Health. The service has been operating for over 5 years and forms on integral part of the wider wellbeing strategy of Monash Health. BeWell continues to provide, promote and support the well-being of Monash Health Staff. The role provides comprehensive wellbeing support across several key areas including individual wellbeing support; in-house response to critical incidents (Psychological First Aid); team wellbeing sessions which either provide reflective practice or are focused on a specific topic of relevance; and providing assistance to senior leaders in supporting a mentally healthy workplace. 

About the Role 

Join our team as a Senior Psychologist on an ongoing basis. We have 0.7 EFT available. The role works across all sites of Monash health. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Manager of BeWell/ Deputy Director of Psychology. This is a Senior Psychologist (Grade 4) role within Psychology. The role psychologically informed wellbeing expertise that supports the wider wellbeing strategy. 

About You 

To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes: 

• First and foremost you are passionate about engaging with your Healthcare workers to provide the prevention, promotion and responses needed to assist in enhancing workers well-being. 
• Expert knowledge of the methods, principles and practices of providing evidence-based, best practice wellbeing interventions for staff   
• Training and experience in in the delivery of Psychological First Aid (PFA)  
• Experience providing consultation regarding psychological services  
• Experience in developing of policies and procedures in areas requiring specialist psychological knowledge  
• Demonstrated ability to provide tailored interventions within group setting   
• Significant prior experience in a public health setting  
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly with rapid timelines  

Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships, 

• Current general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA)  
• Hold an area of practice endorsement   
• Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) approved supervisor for Registrar Supervision (primary and secondary) and Higher Degree supervision  
• At least 8 years of experience as a registered psychologist
