About the Role

You will provide assessment, intervention and consultation for children and adolescents experiencing:

• Anxiety, depression and adjustment difficulties related to serious illness
• Procedural anxiety and specific phobias
• Acute and chronic pain
• Trauma responses associated with diagnosis and treatment
• Challenges with treatment adherence and coping

Working closely within a highly skilled and compassionate multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions while supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

About You

You are a psychologist who is passionate about paediatric health and enjoys helping children and young people achieve the best possible wellbeing while facing complex medical challenges.

Essential:

• Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
• Endorsement in Clinical, Health, or Educational & Developmental Psychology
• Experience providing evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for children, adolescents and families
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care

Desirable

• Experience working in paediatric health, oncology, chronic illness or hospital settings
• Experience supporting young people with anxiety, adjustment difficulties, pain management and treatment adherence
