Injury Management Doctors is a workplace injury practice.

We coordinate care for injured workers from the first report through to recovery and return to work, including triage, treatment, case management, and the reporting required by insurers, employers and referring doctors.

We’re looking for psychologists to join our Sydney clinic network.

The Work

Injured workers rarely present with just one problem.

Some patients are referred with a primary psychological injury. Others begin with a physical injury and develop psychological barriers along the way — persistent pain, anxiety about returning to work, loss of confidence, prolonged claims, workplace conflict or difficulty adjusting after injury.

You’ll work across both.

Day to day, the role includes:

• Initial psychological assessments and ongoing treatment in clinic

• Treatment planning focused on function, recovery and return to work

• Progress reports and updates for insurers, employers and referring doctors

• Working closely with our medical and allied health team rather than operating in isolation

• Access to the broader injury file, including the physical, medical and case-management side of the patient’s recovery

• Contributing to coordinated treatment and return-to-work planning

Our psychology service sits within a broader injury-management model, so you’re not working from a referral letter alone. You’ll have context around the injury, treatment history, work capacity and the other clinicians involved.

What We’re Looking For

• General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA

• Current professional indemnity insurance

• Strong clinical communication and documentation skills

• An interest in workplace injury, psychological injury and return-to-work rehabilitation

Experience in workers compensation, CTP, occupational rehabilitation or return-to-work is highly regarded.

Work Arrangement

This is an in-clinic role across Sydney.

We are currently looking for psychologists across:

• Blacktown and Western Sydney

• Parramatta and surrounding areas

• Liverpool and South-West Sydney

• Campbelltown and surrounding areas

• Other Sydney clinic locations

Flexible days and consulting arrangements are available depending on your location and availability.

Licence / Certification

• AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
