We're seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Director Psychology Services to provide professional leadership in the assessment and management of complex student needs across educational settings. As the Assistant Director Psychology Services, you will provide strategic and professional leadership to schools within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework.

You will:

-       Lead and support psychologists and educators to build capability and evidence-based practice.

-       Provide expert psychological consultation for students with complex behavioural, social and emotional needs.

-       Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop targeted intervention and treatment plans.

-       Deliver short-term therapeutic interventions to support student engagement and educational success.

-       Collaborate with school leaders, families and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

-       Contribute to system-wide initiatives that enhance inclusion, participation and student wellbeing.

This role offers a unique blend of leadership, clinical expertise and educational impact, allowing you to influence outcomes at both the individual and organisational level.

To be successful, you will have:

-       A degree in Psychology and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

-       Demonstrated experience managing complex cases and delivering high-quality psychological services.

-       Strong leadership, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.

-       A commitment to improving educational outcomes for children and young people.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a unique and rewarding environment, supporting students and schools across diverse communities. Travel to remote schools may be required, including travel by four-wheel drive vehicle or light aircraft and occasional overnight stays. Four-wheel drive training will be provided.

Corporate-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence.
