Join a supportive, multidisciplinary wellbeing team and make a meaningful difference to the lives of Northern Territory Police Force (NTPF) and Northern Territory Fire and Emergency Services (NTFES) members and their families. 

  • Deliver frontline wellbeing support in a first-responder environment

About the position
Wellbeing Services delivers psychological, psychosocial and pastoral support across a stepped-care model for the NTPF and NTFES workforce. 

This Katherine-based role provides local and remote services, including routine wellbeing screening, early intervention, crisis response and critical incident support. You will work closely with psychologists, social workers, occupational rehabilitation advisors, chaplains and peer supporters to ensure coordinated, evidence-based wellbeing support is available to NTPF and NTFES workers across the Territory.

 

The role participates in the 24/7 wellbeing response framework and offers exposure to a broad range of complex and rewarding clinical and operational work.

 

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a registered Psychologist (AHPRA) with experience supporting people impacted by trauma, high-risk environments and complex psychosocial issues. Experience working in first-responder or domestic and family violence contexts is highly regarded.
