An exciting opportunity exists for a psychologist to join
Squiggle Space in a school-based role supporting primary and secondary schools
across Melbourne’s northern region. This position is ideal for both experienced
psychologists and those early in their career who are passionate about
supporting young people in a way that is practical, relational, and embedded in
everyday school life.
About the Role
- Full or Part-time
position (2–3 days per week), with opportunity to increase days over time
- Option
to work school hours, supporting strong work-life balance
- Work
across primary and secondary school settings in Melbourne’s northern
region
- Deliver
counselling, psychological assessments, and targeted interventions
- Facilitate
small group programs to support social, emotional, and learning skills
- Provide
practical, in-context strategies that support engagement, learning, and
wellbeing
- Work
alongside teachers and leadership to embed strategies within classrooms
and school systems
- Build
strong partnerships with families to support student outcomes

About You
You are a registered psychologist who values connection, collaboration, and making a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
- Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents (school experience highly regarded but not essential)
- Strong understanding of evidence-based psychological practices
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology (highly regarded)
- Experience in conduct educational and developmental assessments.
- Passion for supporting students with a disability or those experiencing barriers to learning (highly desirable)
