Ascending Psychology is looking to hire a dynamic, passionate psychologist.  Our philosophy is to hire the person, not the position.  

The person we’re looking for is someone who considers the practice of psychology to be firstly grounded in relationship.  If you believe that the core of applied psychology is the unique relational experience offered to clients, and the way that we help clients relate to others and their world, you might be a good candidate.  We enjoy working with people who want to make their career in psychology deeply meaningful. Our practice is one where people seek out the psychologist, not the service.  

Ascending Psychology considers this relational core to be vital in many ways.  Of course it’s essential to the work with clients, but it’s also a key to how we relate to each other in our practice.  We have a tight knit, close community in our office, and we are here to support each other with work that is, by its nature, challenging.   Additionally, we strive to relate to our community with consciousness and dedication.  Ascending Psychology is a pillar of the Northern Rivers and we intend to continue to offer something we believe strongly in: a psychology practice that starts with the human relationship first and resists abstractions and mechanistic experiences.

Part of what we offer our team is ongoing professional development.  We have in house trainings conducted monthly, group supervision twice monthly, and we bring in many guest speakers from around the globe to host workshops and trainings - all of which are included for our team.  

We have an absolutely gorgeous suite of offices and a large, dedicated group room that can comfortably accommodate 12 clients in a circle.  Our administrative team and practice manager take care of our team’s needs, and we have the backend and support available to nurture your special projects - groups, workshops, and other forms of outreach that allow you to do more than the usual 1 to 1 sessions if you so desire.  

We’re in Murwillumbah NSW.  We are a truly easy drive from the Gold Coast airport, Cabarita Beach, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, and incredible hikes in the national parks, waterfalls, and rainforests nearby.  

We are open to both contract or employee positions, and we have flexibility in terms of part or full time.  Again, we are hiring for the person, not the position.
