About the role:
This busy, new clinical leadership role at our Wolston Correctional Centre, Wacol, is the perfect opportunity for a senior-level clinician with team leadership experience, or an experienced senior clinician ready to take the next step into a leadership role. QCS is undergoing a period of change and expanding their psychology workforce and service model to include social workers and occupational therapists. This hands-on role is in an operationally and culturally diverse environment working to improve rehabilitative outcomes and reduce recidivism. You will manage the new multi-disciplinary service model and lead your team to provide services that impact and help shape lives through evidence-based mental health care.
Your clinical knowledge and skills combined with your leadership are key to ensuring delivery of critical mental health services are of a high quality and comply with QCS protocols.
Building partnerships and stakeholder relationships is integral to this role and will require you to possess excellent interpersonal and engagement skills.

About you:
- Advanced level, demonstrated experience providing clinical services of a complex nature
- Able to provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced clinicians
- High-calibre interpersonal and communication skills to build effective and trusted relationships within and across teams and stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities and professional accountabilities of your discipline
- Highly developed written communication skills, able to produce excellent quality professional reports and case notes
- Team leadership and management including knowledge of and ability to implement human resources practices
- Strong time management, organisational and planning strengths to pre-empt service delivery and emerging priorities
Mandatory Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and membership with APHRA; or
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Social Work, with eligibility for membership or registration with AHPRA and/or AASW;
- C Class Driver's Licence; and
- Post-graduate qualifications in mental health would be highly regarded.
