QCS is looking for a permanent Disability Services Senior Clinician to play a pivotal role in shaping a safer, more responsive correctional environment for people with disabilities. As part of our specialist Disability Services Team, you will lead evidence-based assessment, planning & intervention for individuals with cognitive disability, neurodiversity, acquired brain injury and other impairments that affect daily functioning &capacity for participation.
Working alongside multidisciplinary colleagues and frontline staff, Senior Clinicians provide expert guidance in screening, formulation, functional assessment, behavioural support, and person-centred practice. You will join a growing team of clinicians who identify and support prisoners with disability to access services and adjustments as they prepare for reintegration, including pathways to the NDIA and other community supports.

The Disability Services Senior Clinician is a leader within the Disability Services team responsible for providing evidence based best practice, clinical services, and advice. Senior Clinicians bring extensive experience and capability in comprehensive assessment, including the use of standardised and functional tools, structured clinical interviews, behavioural analysis and psychometric measures within their professional scope. Within the Disability Services Team you will provide expert guidance in screening, formulation, behavioural support, and personcentred practice. Senior Clinicians provide leadership to shape the direction of the team and offer mentoring to clinicians to strengthen their clinical capability.
The Disability Services Team provides a statewide operation; therefore, you may be required to travel to regional correctional centres across the state to engage with staff, stakeholders and prisoners, provide support to correctional centres and attend training opportunities. The Disability Services Senior Clinician will be pivotal in supporting the Disability Services Team deliver on QCS outcomes to improve the assessment and identification of prisoners with a disability.
