Private Practice in the Northern Rivers

The Wholistic Brain and Mind is a thriving private practice in the beautiful Northern Rivers, NSW that offers psychological and neuropsychological assessment for a range of presentations in children and adults.

 

We are now looking to expand the team in our soon-to-be open Clunes clinic, and seeking a passionate Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to conduct learning and diagnostic assessments, and provide short-term intervention/therapy. This role would suit someone who enjoys working autonomously with a collaborative approach, values high-quality and person-centred assessments, and seeking supervision and experience in neuroaffirming diagnostic assessments. We welcome applications from registrar, early-career and experienced psychologists alike.

 

Role:

  • Conduct cognitive, academic, and related assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT-III, WAIS-5, WPPSI-IV) for our new Learning Division (*please note assessments will be the predominant role)
  • Prepare clear, meaningful reports with practical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other clinicians to support client outcomes.
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with AHPRA and APS guidelines.
  • For some clients, provision of therapy around emotional/cognitive needs found in the assessment.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 12-15 hours per week

 

About you:

  • Masters level degree in psychology
  • Registered with AHPRA 
  • Experience in learning or developmental assessments
  • Experience and interest in working with children
  • Strong skills in report writing and interpretation of psychometric data
  • Highly organised, reliable and strong time management skills
  • Compassionate, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to neuroaffirming practice and continuous learning
  • Comfortable working independently with administrative support provided
  • Driver's license and car for assessments requiring travel
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
