About DGM Psychology:

DGM Psychology is a specialist firm of psychologists with forensic assessment and treatment expertise. The dominant aim of DGM Psychology is to offer services to assess and manage, also provide individualised treatment to clients who interface the legal domain. DGM is responsive to broad range of service providers including government departments, private law firms and the courts. Work is performed statewide in Queensland and on occasion interstate. Travel is a key expectation and element of the role, inclusive of work within custodial centres.

 

Psychologist Responsibilities:

·  Assessing individuals for medico-legal purposes (civil, administrative, criminal and family law jurisdiction).

·         Performing competency assessments in the area of fitness for trial, witness reliability and parenting.

·         Assessment and reporting of risk assessment form - sexual offending, violence, stalking and spousal violence.

·         Providing clinical and/or forensic psychology treatment, treatment summaries and reports.

·         Performing group-based treatment by agreement.

·         Providing expert evidence and testimony in varied Courts and Tribunals.

·         Attending meetings (as reasonably requested).

·         Acting as a consultant for multidisciplinary teams.

·         Creating, implementing and evaluating treatment programs.

·    Compiling other as required reports and documentation in  compliance with applicable standards and procedures.

·         Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills.

·         Proficient organisational skills.

 

Qualifications

·         Masters Degree in Psychology or higher;

·         Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, without restrictions on practice;

·         Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;

·         Familiarity/expertise in risk assessment and psychometric tests;

·         A valid and full drivers’ license; &

·         Specialised training or experience in forensic psychology.

 

Working Hours:

Specific working hours will be determined by agreement.
