Small Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice

Are you a strengths focussed, neuro-affirming Child Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact on children, adolescents and families on the Central Coast?

We are a small multi-disciplinary family practice based in Wyoming NSW. We provide Psychological assessment and treatment to clients across the lifespan and under private, BAMHS and NDIS registered clients.  We are currently seeking a Child Psychologist who shares our passion for delivering respectful, inclusive and culturally safe care.

We are dedicated to supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences as well as a range of mental health needs through evidence-based assessment and strengths-focused therapeutic approaches.

Our clinic provides comprehensive psychological assessment, therapeutic support, and family-centred intervention for children, adolescents and their families.  We pride ourselves on our warm, collaborative culture; flexible working environment; and strong relationships with GP’s, local schools, paediatricians, and community services with high integrity and ethically compliant practice. We work from affirming frameworks that recognise individual strengths, honour lived experience, and reduce stigma.

 

The Role

You will provide high-quality Psychological services to children, young people, and families, including

 

  • Autism and ADHD assessments using gold-standard tools
  • Neuroaffirming therapy tailored to each child’s needs and strengths
  • Parent support; psychoeducation; and school collaboration
  • Functional capacity assessments and detailed report writing
  • Working with children and families collaboratively using a proactive solution based approach to supporting behaviour management
  • Participation in team case discussions and ongoing professional development
  • While the above details are essential, we are also excited to learn what you can bring to the practice and are open to and will encourage you to develop therapeutic services based on your own interests and passions.
  • We are an NDIS Registered Practice

 


About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

 

  • Are a fully Registered Psychologist (General or Clinical) with AHPRA
  • Have experience working with children, adolescents and families
  • Have a strong interest or experience in Autism and ADHD assessment
  • Work from a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based therapeutic modality
  • Value connection, curiosity, and collaboration in clinical practice
  • Enjoy working autonomously within a supportive, small-team environment
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and a commitment to comprehensive, high-quality reporting
  • Hold relevant insurances (Public liability and Professional indemnity)
  • Have an active ABN number and a Medicare Provider Number
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) Working With Children, NDIS Workers Screener and Criminal History Checks
  • Ideally, comfortable in a therapeutic dog friendly workplace
  • Value integrity and ethical work practice
  • Own external supervisor
