In 2026, are you ready to take your mental health to the next level? We are looking for Senior Mental Health Clinicians to join the QCS Mental Health Services team at Townsville Correctional Complex.
You'll work in a dynamic, multiple centre complex that supports rehabilitation, mental health and wellbeing. These are new, senior clinician roles with purpose, professional growth, and the opportunity to do something that matters.
This diverse Centre is located approximately 15 kilometres from Townsville City. It supports men's and women's high and low custody for individuals at various stages of their sentence, from all across Queensland. In addition, prisoners from the low custody sites deliver community service projects locally.

About You:
• Advanced clinical capability, with confidence to deliver high-quality clinical services in complex, high-demand environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to maintain effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• A thoughtful approach to practice with accompanying ability to contribute to clinical discussions and outcomes.
• Professional accountability and integrity, with a thorough understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities in psychological practice.
• Proven experience and able to adapt when task priorities change
• Cultural capability and inclusive practice to deliver services responsive to the needs of First Nations and other diverse populations.
Mandatory Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Occupational Therapy with relevant registration with AHPRA, or tertiary qualifications in Social Work with membership to AASW highly desirable.
• Minimum two years' post-graduate experience in mental health (desirable).
• C Class Driver's Licence.
