headspace Edinburgh North is seeking a Psychologist to join our dedicated and supportive team providing mental health support to young people aged 12–25. This role offers the opportunity to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions in a youth-friendly, collaborative environment.

 

 As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will: 

 

  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for young people presenting with a range of mental health concerns.
  • Deliver individual and group interventions informed by evidence-based practice.
  • Contribute to care planning and coordination to support holistic, person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and team meetings to support continuous professional development.
  • Support young people and their families to access appropriate community and health services.

Experience Requirements: 

 

  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and/or other evidence-based therapies with young people aged 12-25 who have a mental health disorder
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in involving young people in their own care and of inclusive practice principles
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in family inclusive practice
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in delivering age and developmentally appropriate care. 

 

Qualification and Other Requirements: 

 

  • Psychology 
  • Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
  • Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
