King Street Psychology Clinic is a collective of independently practising clinical psychologists/clinical psychology registrars who work collaboratively and share clinical expertise. We share a commitment to providing the highest quality psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health difficulties.
Our collective offers particular evidence-based expertise in supporting individuals with gender and sexual identity concerns, areas where demand far exceeds the availability of trained, experienced clinicians. Our clients come referred from medical and other mental health services, including public sexuality and gender services, and from within the state, as well as nationally and internationally. Working at King Street Psychology Clinic offers a rare opportunity to work in a practice recognised for its expertise in evidence-based care for gender and sexuality diverse populations. Clinicians gain direct experience treating gender dysphoria, sexuality concerns, sexual dysfunctions, paraphilias, and related stressors, with the benefit of access to subsidised supervision, case conferences, and group learning, alongside colleagues who publish and train in these areas.
Our room hire practice model is structured to offer opportunities for higher income than standard service fee models. It would suit clinical psychologists/clinical psychology registrars who prefer and are equipped to work with more administrative independence in exchange for greater remuneration.
Income expectation: Clinical psychologists with a 4-day per week caseload of ~24 clients per week (based on 44 working weeks per year) can reasonably expect an annual income of $180,000+ before tax. This figure is calculated after all room rental fees are deducted. In other words, $180,000+ is your estimated take-home income before tax.
We offer steady referrals and currently have a significant waiting list which can facilitate an immediate caseload.
We follow a two-step interview process that provides space for open dialogue, to ensure a good fit in terms of clinical approach and experience in relation to our current referral demands.
