About Mental Health Division:

About the Northern Area Mental Health Service:
The NAMHS (Nothern Area Mental Health Service) Personality Disorder Service (PDS) is a specialist program within Northern Health’s Mental Health Division, focused on enhancing workforce capability to identify, assess, treat, and support individuals living with severe personality disorders.
About the Role:
This senior clinical position requires extensive experience in the provision of evidence-based treatments across diverse public mental health settings—including community, rehabilitation, and inpatient units.
You will bring highly developed clinical skills and knowledge (with Personality Disorder expertise) and demonstrate leadership through effective supervision and workforce development.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of specialist evidence based clinical treatments for personality disorder to identified consumers; providing secondary consultation and workforce training.
This is a Permanent Part-Time role, working 6 days per fortnight, within our dedicated Personality Disorder Service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A strong motivation and commitment to enhancing service delivery for people with personality disorders and their families through both direct clinical care and workforce capacity building.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in psychological theories and interventions, specifically focused on treating Personality Disorders.
- Proven skills in conducting specialist assessments, risk management, and therapeutic interventions for consumers with complex mental health and psychosocial challenges.
- Exceptional ability to foster collaborative, therapeutic relationships with consumers, families, mental health teams, and external agencies.
- Experience supporting service development and driving quality improvement initiatives.
