About ELMHS
The Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families in addressing several complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental presentations and psychosis.
A Day in the Life
We are seeking a mental health clinician to join us in the Infant & Child Core Community Treatment Team. We have up multiple opportunities available (1.2EFT) fixed term until February 2026. Psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists and registered nurses are eligible to apply. The Infant & Child Core Community Treatment Team provides short to medium term treatment for infants and children and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, and Shire of Cardinia areas. In this role you will work in the infant and child stream with a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists to provide clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people. We work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.
This role is an opportunity to work within our Infant & Child stream at our Casey sites (Berwick and Pakenham) and there may be some travel to our Frankston site. No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for clients (patients) along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about.
