About the role:
Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your
duties for the role will include:
- Provide proficient clinical care and/or individual
case management to clients with a diagnosed eating disorder
- Oversee the provision of discipline specific care
within SEDS
- Opportunity to provide group and individual focused
evidenced based psychological therapies.
- Providing services to clients which promote and
facilitate the use of supports available at the local community level and
which take into account social and cultural diversities
- Participating in the triage of referrals including
obtaining information from referral sources and obtaining historical and
collateral information
- Participating in communication forums with staff,
clients, their families and carers
- Psychology candidates will also have the opportunity
to co-ordinate psychology interventions for the Inpatient Program cohort
based at Flinders Medical Centre's specialist eating disorder unit
About you:
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to
engage with clients who have extremely high service needs
- Comprehensive assessment skills including those of
mental state assessment, identification of client strengths and needs,
risk assessment / risk management and appropriate use of specific eating
disorder assessment tools
- Extensive experience in a clinical role in mental
health services
- Experience in the leadership and direction of
student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
- Skills in psychosocial rehabilitation practices and
individualised program planning
- Experience in the delivery of evidenced based
Psychological therapies such as CBTE would be an asset
This is a single vacancy, with multiple possible
appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the
position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
Please note that this position is multi-classed
as either a RN/M2C & AHP2 and classification will be determined by
qualifications and experience.
To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse)
level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post
registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of
student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
