The Opportunity
This role will see you working in a flexible and rewarding setting, delivering tailored psychological interventions to children, adolescents, adults and families across clinic, community and school settings. We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in paediatric mental health, neurodiverse practice, or trauma-informed care.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting clients across a variety of developmental, behavioural and emotional needs using evidence-based approaches. Sessions may be delivered face-to-face, via telehealth, or at Acua’s partnered sites in Epping, Prahran, Caroline Springs, Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit and Essendon.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnoses
- Designing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans
- Delivering therapy to individuals, families, or groups across the lifespan
- Providing education and support to clients, carers and families
- Collaborating with allied health professionals and educators
- Upholding NDIS, APS and AHPRA standards and ethical practice
- Participating in reflective supervision, team development, and moderation
- Supporting clinical governance and quality standards at Acua
What We’re Looking For:
- A Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology
- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Experience in paediatric, clinical or counselling psychology
- Proven ability to work with trauma, neurodiversity, developmental or complex mental health presentations
- Current First Aid, Working with Children Check, Police Check
- Excellent communication, documentation and case management skills
- Reliable transport and willingness to travel across Acua sites
- Secure laptop/device to support privacy and compliance
