Job Advertisement: VicRoads Behaviour Change Program (BCP) Facilitators – Drink, Drug, and Intensive
Join a leading provider delivering the VicRoads Behaviour Change Program (BCP) for Drink, Drug, and Intensive interventions. We are seeking qualified and committed facilitators to deliver programs based on Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles during after-hours and weekends. This is a unique opportunity to work in the fields of psychology, health, and behavioural science, and positively impact individuals’ lives.
Work Schedule and Pay:
- After-hours and weekend work
- Flexible schedule – work available 7 days per week
- Casual contractual rate: $100/hour (ABN required)
Mandatory Requirements for ALL Applicants:
- Current driver licence with fewer than 6 demerit points
- No licence suspensions or disqualifications in the past 10 years (VicRoads will conduct a driver history check)
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Consent to release driving records to VicRoads and third-party recipients
- Submission of CV
- Signed Confidentiality Deed
Drink-Driver BCP Facilitators:
- Relevant qualifications in psychology, social work, health or related fields
- Completion of units:
- CHCAOD406E – Work with clients who are intoxicated
- CHCMHS005 – Provide services to people with co-existing mental health and AOD issues
- CHCAOD001 – Work in an alcohol and other drugs context
- Group work facilitation training (e.g., Managing groups)
Drug-Driver BCP Facilitators:
- All Drink Driver BCP Facilitator qualifications PLUS:
- Bachelor degree in psychology, social work, health, human services, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with mandated clients in behavioural change programs
- Experience with accredited providers (e.g., Government or Quality Certified organisations)
Intensive BCP Facilitators:
- All Drug Driver BCP Facilitator qualifications PLUS:
- Minimum 2 years' experience running therapeutic groups for offender populations
- Post-graduate qualifications in working with addiction or forensic populations such as:
- Graduate Certificate/Diploma/Master in Addictive Behaviours (e.g., Turning Point)
- Graduate Certificate in Forensic Behavioural Science (e.g., Swinburne)
- Graduate Certificate in Specialist Forensic Assessment and Risk Management
