Treating psychologist/neuropsychologist in concussion recovery

The Adelaide Concussion Recovery Service is a new and growing neuropsychology-led service treating the persisting symptoms of concussion. We are looking for a Psychologist or Neuropsychologist who is passionate about helping people recover from injury.

 About Us

We are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-informed, collaborative care to people recovering from concussion. Our clients often experience a range of cognitive, emotional, and physical symptoms, and we take a holistic, person-centred approach to rehabilitation. We work in partnership with neurophysiotherapists and a rehabilitation physician to support people through their recovery.

 The Role

As a psychologist on our team, you will:

  • Provide therapeutic support to individuals with persisting concussion symptoms (general trauma and adjustment to injury knowledge is also relevant)
  • Use a range of therapeutic interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and trauma-informed therapies
  • Work collaboratively with other allied health professionals
  • Follow an established, evidence-based treatment protocol
  • Be part of a supportive team environment that values professional growth and innovation

 What We Offer

  • Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Regular clinical supervision and professional development opportunities
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with complex needs

 About You

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Registered as a psychologist with AHPRA
  • Passionate about working with people who have experienced concussion, and whilst some experience is beneficial, it is certainly not essential as we can offer training and guidance. Experience in other related areas such as trauma, adjustment to injury, sleep and general anxiety management is also highly relevant and helpful
  • Committed to collaborative, person-centred care
  • Motivated to grow within a supportive and innovative service
