Ongoing Opportunity located in Wollongong or Orange 
 
 
 The Manager (LINKS Trauma Healing Services) leads and supports a team of multidisciplinary clinicians within the LINKS program located within both the Illawarra region and Western NSW.
 
LINKS Trauma Healing Service provides multidisciplinary therapeutic interventions for children living in out of home care to support improved wellbeing, mental health and placement stability. The role also provides strategic direction and leads the implementation of practice standards and guidelines. In addition, the role  provides clinical advice and expertise to respond to clients with complex needs
 
 The role
 
  • Manage a team of multidisciplinary clinicians and you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to the team to ensure timely, high quality therapeutic services are provided to support DCJ clients. 
  • Ensure the implementation of Psychological and Specialist Services practice standards and , protocols and liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and represent the Department of Communities and Justice on various panels and projects.
  • Provide expert advice on complex cases, develop innovative systems and contribute to the quality improvement of DCJ Psychological Services. 
  • Provide supervision and guide the clinical team
  • Establish a positive team culture and a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and a commitment to evidence based practice. 
  • Work with other Manager, Psychological Services and the executive team to ensure program objectives are being met. 

  What we’re looking for
 
  •  Knowledge of theoretical and therapeutic frameworks underpinning assessment and intervention in the context of child abuse/neglect
  • Tertiary qualifications with full registration in allied health ( for example, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology) as recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency or appropriate  certified practicing membership, with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience working with children and families.
  • Have, or be eligible for, accreditation as a clinical supervisor with experience providing clinical supervision and consultation to allied health (e.g. psychologists, occupational therapy, speech pathology) 
  • Current driver’s licence
