About the role
The Manager Forensic Assessment provides leadership, clinical oversight, management, professional guidance and support to a team responsible for the assessment of individual offenders, in the community or prison setting. These assessment outcomes advise and assist sentencing and releasing authorities and case management planning teams in the management of offender risks and delivery of rehabilitation intervention services.
The Manager Forensic Assessment also provides expertise and specialist advice, guidance and consultation to internal and external stakeholders, as required, in the assessment of offender risk management and rehabilitation needs.
The Forensic Assessment team comprises staff of various professional qualifications and experience, undertaking risk and needs assessments of offenders of varying complexity.
Travel within Western Australia may be required.
Eligibility
- A post graduate
Masters/Doctorate degree in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology
and eligibility for full registration with the Psychology Board of
Australia.
- Valid C Class Drivers
Licence.

You will have an
understanding of the theories and models of assessment and intervention that
relate to criminal behaviour, a strong ethical compass and clear boundaries
working with clients.
