Potential is a private Psychology clinic operating from Deception Bay
just north of the Brisbane metropolitan area. The clinic enjoys ongoing
relationships with GPs in surrounding areas and we are currently
expanding our practice with the aim to open a brand-new clinic in the
coming months. Our clinical and administrative group is close knit and
supportive and we are searching for a motivated individual to join our

are a mixed fee service with charges commensurate with the client’s
current financial position.
The clinic focusses in two areas of
expert interest: those being marriage therapy/relationship counselling
and Clinical Psychology-oriented interventions for circumscribed mental
Clinical Psychology Registrars will be
supported with heavily subsidised weekly supervision to achieve Clinical
College membership (see details below) and generalist psychologists
will also have access to no cost supervision to meet their requirements
for ongoing registration in line with AHPRA’s guidelines. The permanent
contracted position is for three days per week (Initially for two days
per week – increasing to three days as we build your case load. More
days may be available according to client demand after this point). The
position includes an initial three-month salaried probationary period
($90k pro rata, plus holiday, superannuation and sick leave for
Generalists and Clinical Psychology Registrars, or $105k pro rata for
Clinical Psychologists), which enables the successful applicant to enjoy
a consistent income as they develop a full client case load.
As there can be significant costs involved for Clinical Psychology
Registrar's to achieve full registration as a Clinical Psychologist
(typically in the realm of $15,000 to $20,000 depending on the hourly
rate charged by the supervisor), the Principal Clinical Psychologist
provides a program to registration that is FREE.
Core position responsibilities:
Conduct diagnostic interviews and provide therapy under Better Access, NDIS and Veterans Affairs provisions.

therapeutic approaches (e.g., Interpersonal Therapy for grief,
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for depression).
Utilise psychosocial measures at pre, mid and post therapy intervals to confirm the utility of interventions.

Practitioners (or other referring agents). Maintain accurate clinical

Psychologist registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
(AHPRA). Applicants without full registration cannot be considered for

Clinical psychology registrars.
Two years or more clinical experience post full registration.
Master or Doctorate of Clinical Psychology.
Current endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
Psychologists with a clinical area of interest in relationship counselling.
Psychologists with a willingness to work with children between the ages of 5 to 18.
