Permanent Part time position or Associate positions available

Apex Psychology is a dynamic practice with offices in Burwood and Campbelltown. Due to growing demand for psychological services, we are seeking one or two highly motivated child and adolescent psychologists to join our happy, friendly team and work with colleagues who are committed to the highest level of excellence in the practice of psychology. We are looking for someone who can work at least two days a week at our Campbelltown office and someone who can work a day week at Burwood.

Essential Criteria for applicants:

  • Masters level training in Psychology or an Honours in Psychology and extensive experience working with children and families

  • Registration with AHPRA

  • Eligible to be registered for Medicare rebates

  • The ability to exercise sound clinical judgement

  • A sound understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and interested in working with children and young people with this diagnosis.

  • Experience providing evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents and families, particularly through NDIS

  • Previous experience of undertaking psychometric assessment using WISC-V and WIAT-III. Experience in using the ADOS-2 is highly desirable  

  • Strong communications skills

  • Understanding of the skills required of parents, carers and professionals supporting children and young people with additional needs

  • The ability to operate autonomously and as part of a team

  • Solid report writing skills

  • A commitment to extending your own professional development

  • Strong ethical principles including respect for the privacy and dignity of young people and their families

  • Current Working with Children’s Check and Police Check

  • Must be an Australian resident 

  • A desire to join a practice for the medium to long term

    We have a knowledgeable support team who look after both our clients and psychologists. We expect you to be able to use Power Diary, but they take care of most (but not all)


    reception and administration duties, leaving our psychologists to focus their time and energy on clients.
