MindCare Australia is an established Clinical and Forensic Psychology service. We are based in the Eastern suburbs and also provide forensic services across the State of Victoria.


Clinical Services

MindCare Australia has a private practice clinic based in Emerald and Monbulk. Emerald Psychology Practice is located in the township of Emerald, about 45 minutes east from Melbourne CBD. The clinic is a community-based centre offering comprehensive assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, couples and adults. We also provide group based intervention and education seminars to the community. We have a strong network and relationship with other services based in the local area and are committed to providing multi-disciplinary, holistic care with medical and other allied health professionals. Emerald Psychology prides itself for being innovate and offering different forms of therapy including Hike Therapy so psychologists who are interested in expanding their treatment modality would enjoy being part of our team. We have an established team with regular group supervision and team meetings. If you are a passionate psychologist interested in private practice work but would like to be part of a more integrated model of care, then Emerald Psychology will provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with others. 


Vacant Positions

We are seeking Registered Clinical and/or General Contractor Psychologists for our office based clinic.


Emerald Psychology

We have 2 positions available at our Emerald and Monbulk based offices. 


We provide

Relaxed and professional therapeutic spaces 

Regular referrals to accommodate the interests and needs of the applicant

Regular group supervision and where relevant, professional development training

Provision of individual and group based interventions including alternative therapies

A unique collaborative approach working closely with doctors and other allied health practitioners within the local community  



Registration as a Clinical or General Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia

Over 5 years of experience delivering a range of evidence-based treatments in clinical psychology

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Shared values around collaborative care and holistic therapy

High level of written and oral communication and technical skills

Excellent work ethic and a thoughtful approach to working with clients

Medicare provider number

Professional indemnity insurance



Masters, DPsych or Ph.D level qualification in Clinical Psychology and registration/endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA/APS College of Clinical Psychologists 

Membership with the APS

Previous experience working in a private practice setting
