A new era in education, clinical training, and research is unfolding at James Cook University. We are looking for dedicated, collegial professionals to join our team during this exciting phase of development. We are offering a continuing, full-time opportunity for a Psychology Lecturer, at the James Cook University (JCU) Townsville campus to strengthen the Discipline of Psychology.

What you can accomplish in the role 

Injecting renewed vision and focus, you will create and deliver materials to inspire the next generation of graduates. You will coordinate multi campus teaching teams and build a research portfolio that contributes to the development of a robust and ambitious research culture within Psychology at James Cook University. You will embrace the opportunity to extend your research in collaboration with the wider JCU Community and through your engagement with stakeholders of the communities in which JCU is embedded.

What you will bring to this role

You will have a track record of excellence in teaching and learning, experience of designing innovative educational materials suited to both face-to-face and online learning and have experience of subject coordination. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a track record of research achievement relative to opportunity. Individuals with expertise in Cognitive Neuroscience or Learning and Behaviour are particularly encouraged to apply, but we would welcome applications from strong candidates with expertise in related areas. All candidates must have qualifications in Psychology, including a PhD.
