Child and Adolescent Psychologist: Early Career Psychologists Welcome


An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist to join a well-established Child and Adolescent Psychology practice in Western Sydney. Asciak and Associates has a strong local reputation for providing high quality psychological assessment and therapeutic services to children, adolescents and their families. This is not a subcontracting position. Rather, the successful applicant will become an employee of our organization with a stable income. We are looking for a Psychologist to join the team as soon as possible on a casual or part time basis (with opportunities for full time employment in the future). This position would suit an early career Psychologist as supervision and professional mentoring is provided regularly.


We are looking for a Psychologist who can provide assessment and/or intervention services to children and adolescents. Applicants with either skills sets are encouraged to apply.


Duties may include:

·       Provide clinical services to children and adolescents who are referred for mental health difficulties and clinical interventions

·       Complete psychometric assessments and assessments for possible learning and behavioural disorders

·       Complete or assist the Senior Psychologist with diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder

·       Liaise and nurture appropriate clinical/professional relationships with key stakeholders including GPs, schools and other allied health professionals.

The successful applicant will have:

·       Full registration as a registered psychologist with AHPRA

·       Eligibility to register with Medicare

·       Have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

·       Demonstrated experience in engaging and working effectively with children/adolescents and their families

Additional highly regarded skills:

·       Experience administering & writing reports for psychometric assessments including the WISC V & WIAT III.

·       Experience working with children and Adolescents who have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

·       Clinical registrars are highly encouraged to apply.
