About Monash Health
Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital.
About the Role
Your next role is offering you a blend of important and rewarding responsibilities. Firstly, we look to you to carry out direct therapeutic work with clients. Rather than case management, this is a psychology specific role which will enable you to support clients providing brief and longer psychological treatment.
Your clients will be the most complex clients who frequently present to our acute services and are typically diagnosed with a personality disorder.
This job gives you the scope to work with these clients in an ongoing manner, consistently supporting their improvement towards achieving their goals and living a better life.
The role is part of a multidisciplinary team and the psychologist is an integral part of this team providing primary and secondary consultation and education with regard to client presentations and the wider service system response/
In addition, this is a position offering the rewards of leading others. You will provide supervision of Grade 3 Psychologists, as well as postgraduate students, ensuring the development of your supervision skills and the reward of participating in the growth and development of psychologists in the profession.
Your own growth and development is important and with us you can really be your best. You’ll be part of our professional development program, where we meet regularly as peers and you will be provided with regular supervision by a psychology discipline senior.
