$120,000 p.a (plus Super) - Newcastle Child & Adolescent Psychologist (Private Practice)

Oracle Psychology is a busy and well respected Child and Adolescent Psychology Practice in the Newcastle CBD. We provide professional psychological support and consultation to children, adolescents, young adults and families. The majority of our clients are aged between 2-25 years of age. We are highly regarded in the local community and have a strong referral base from Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, General Practitioners, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, schools and word of mouth.

We are a close and fun team to work with who offer strong professional support while also valuing independence and clinical initiative. We are seeking clinicians passionate about working with children, young people and families with a focus on continuity of care to meet clients’ short and long term needs.

The right candidate would be expected to see six clients per day. This is a Full-Time position. We offer a salary of $120,000 per annum plus Super, a car park, Professional Indemnity Insurance reimbursement, APS Membership fees covered and other benefits.

  • Relocation assistance may be available depending on circumstances


Essential Criteria: 

  • Strong work ethic and desire to work both as part of a team and independently 
  • Reliable and committed to providing a high quality of service to clients for at least a 24 month period (ongoing and longer term is preferable)
  • Experience with a range of presentations including ASD, ADHD, anxiety disorders, behaviour difficulties, intellectual disabilities, mood disorders and trauma
  • Ability to positively engage with children, adolescents and families 
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA 
  • Eligibility for registration as a Medicare provider 
  • Working With Children Check
  • Assessment experience or willingess to attain these skills (training can be provided by the Principal Clinical Psychologist)
