Monash University’s Counselling and Mental Health Programs unit provides a range of professional services and development programs to promote student and staff health and wellbeing to enhance each individual’s capacity to work, study and participate in the community experience whilst at Monash.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Monash University as a Senior Counsellor. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join the University and support our staff and students’ wellbeing and foster a happy, healthy environment.

You will utilise your prior counselling expertise to:

  • Deliver expert psychological counselling services to the University community
  • Provide strategic direction for the Counselling and Mental Health Programs
  • Lead clinical supervision of psychology students
  • Deliver mental health literacy and resilience-building programs

To ensure your success in this position, you will demonstrate considerable expertise in the field of psychology and counselling, along with a relevant qualification and registration with AHPRA. You will bring your professionalism and empathetic nature to this role to provide best-practice services to the University community and drive positive outcomes.
