Due to sustainable growth KCPSYCH is seeking suitably qualified and motivated Psychologists to work 3 to 6 days a week at Nundah.

Psychologist working with Disabilities and NDIS Participants

This role will suit a compassionate and knowledgeable Psychologist who wants to make a difference in the lives of clients, by assisting individuals and families, provide the necessary supports and work in a team care environment so they can live their best life.

We are seeking a Psychologist with ability to work with clients with disabilities and NDIS participants. You will provide specific assessment, intervention and treatment to clients which may present with a range of issues or presentations such as Autism, Intellectual Impairment, Learning issues, and speech issues. We have a range of clients varying in complexity and across the lifespan. This role will give you good opportunity to make a difference with the support of a great team.


  • General Registration with AHPRA 

§  Experience in specific assessment, intervention and treatment with a diverse range of disabilities and eligible NDIS participants.

  • Follow NDIS procedures and complete reports
  • Experience in behavioural management and intervention in complex cases
  • Experience with managing client care in a team care arrangement (e.g.  families, care workers, other allied health) 
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability and other complex diagnoses
  • An ability to provide a service based on a client’s NDIS goals and funding allocation


·         Develop, implement and evaluate behaviour management strategies and services to clients

·         Conduct relevant assessments to identify factors challenging behaviours, recommend strategies, including functional behaviour assessments and positive behaviour support plans

·         Develop and implement intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families

·         Provide education, guidance and intervention using a holistic approach to improve capacity

·         Participate in peer review and provide professional support to members of the team, stakeholders and families

·         Administer pre and post measures to monitor progress and effectiveness

·         Liaise with relevant stakeholders and treaters

·         Participate in team meetings and other engagement opportunities
