Thinkahead Psychologist is a boutique practice positioned in Dee Why on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Our practice has been operating for over 13 years and treats a broad range of presentations and we work closely with children, adolescents and adults and provide clinical interventions to individuals, couples and families. 

Our extensive referral base and networking build over many years of relationship and service provision allows for variety and busy caseloads that promotes professional development. We have a strong presence in the local area and receive extensive referrals from local GPs, insurers, NDIS, allied health professionals and corporate organisations. We have a strong connection in child, adolescent and family interventions, clinical assessments, EAP, Workers Compensation and Well-being programs.

Due to increasing demands we are looking for two dynamic and experienced clinicians to join our team


1.      Clinical/Registered Psychologist

We are looking for a clinician that wants to make a difference in the wellbeing and lives of many people and families. Strong experience in counselling, clinical assessment and interventions is essential. We are looking for someone that is wanting to join our team on a permanent part time or on a contract basis and is  looking for stability and a long term opportunity. 


You will have:

·         Completed a Master’s Degree and have strong clinical skills

·         A minimum of 2-5 years clinical experience

·         Current Medicare status and SIRA accreditation ( or successful applicant have eligibility and willingness to obtain)

·         Current Professional Indemnity Insurance and ABN/ACN  if applying for contract role (or obtain prior to commencement date)

·         Experience and knowledge working within the framework of Better Access of Mental Health, EAP and Workers Compensation

·         Excellent report writing skills

  ·      Strong clinical and organisational experience (knowledge of a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions)

·         Flexibility, be enthusiastic and self-motivated

·         Position can be part time or contract basis (depending on preference)


2.      Child, Adolescent and Family Psychologist

A new opportunity exists for a clinical/registered psychologist with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents experiencing social, emotional, developmental, intellectual and/or behavioural difficulties.  If you have a passion working with children and would like to work with a diverse client base and become an integral part in expanding the assessment side of the business, then get in contact with us. We are looking for a self motivated person that wants to make this role their own. 


You will have:

·         Completed a  Masters Degree and have strong clinical assessment and counselling skills

·         A minimum of 5 years clinical experience

·         Experience in evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents and adults.

·         Experience in child assessments and diagnoses of ASD,ADHD,ODD, learning disorders in particular

·         Experience in the use of a variety of assessment tools such as  ABAS,ASD,ADIR,ADOS WICS/WIATT, Connors

·         Strong experience working with complex presentations

·         Strong report writing skills

·         Full registration with AHPRA and  Medicare

·         Availability to work a minimum of 2 days a week

·         Current Professional Indemnity Insurance and ABN/ACN number
