Lecturer in Counselling

position (consideration given to possible 0.8FTE for flexibility of maintaining
Lecturer | $115k-$132k plus 17% employer superannuation contributions
Discipline of Counselling currently sits within the broader discipline grouping
of Psychology, Exercise Science, Chiropractic and Counselling. The Discipline
is headquartered at the University’s Perth campus and offers a range of courses
both at Peel and at the main Perth Campus.
This position makes a
significant contribution to the teaching effort of the College through the
preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials, program coordination, and
supervision of honours and postgraduate students.
Skills and Experience
preferred candidate will have:
- A PhD in an area relevant to appointment.
- Eligibility for clinical registration with a
relevant professional body is essential (e.g. PACFA, ACA, ANZACATA, AHPRA).
- At least 5 years demonstrated professional
experience in relevant clinical practice and teaching or training in the
discipline or profession.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the
undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Demonstrated success in generating high
quality independent research outputs with national recognition and a developing
- A track record of success in obtaining and
successfully managing external competitive grant funds.
- Demonstrated success in supervising honours,
postgraduate and HDR students.
