Melbourne Psychology & Counselling (MPC), is located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs (Brunswick, Coburg & Thornbury). It is currently home to a group of 14 independent psychologists who work with children, adolescents and adults. Due to increasing referrals we have room for 1 additional part-time psychologists to work from MPC. We are interested in a psychologist joining our group for the longer term.
MPC provides a warm, friendly, professional and supportive environment for both clients and psychologists.
This is reflected in the percentage of word-of-mouth referrals from clients and the stability of the psychology team (most of whom have worked with MPC for years).
Psychologists enjoy full autonomy over clinical approach, hours worked, number of clients booked, and preferred client presentations/therapeutic modalities.
Psychologists who work from MPC have provided the following feedback:
- MPC provides a terrific collegiate and healthy working environment for a group of dedicated psychologists.
- MPC values the clinical experience of each psychologist and promotes the growth of clinicians through peer support, professional development and social engagement.
- MPC provides high quality services to independent psychologists working within the MPC team.
- MPC provides our local community with high quality and affordable psychological treatment.
- 100% strongly agree that wellbeing & growth of individual psychologists is supported by MPC
Referrals and presenting issues - MPC has a reliable and growing referral stream from a range of GPs and services in the Northern suburbs. Psychologists working from MPC have the opportunity to work with a broad range of people and presenting problems.
MPC services - MPC provides comfortable professional rooms and a range of services, allowing psychologists to practice in a collegiate environment and fully focus on their clinical work. The MPC admin and intake team provides high quality administration, practice management software, marketing and reliable referrals. Our waitlist and robust intake service means that new clients are motivated for therapy, leading to greater client retention. MPC also provides opportunities for free professional development and peer supervision.
Your role - You would be working from MPC rooms as an independent psychologist with full autonomy over your clinical approach, hours worked, number of clients booked, and preferred client presentations/therapeutic modalities.
