Who we are:

Psychological Services Group (PSG) is a team of experienced and empathic psychologists, passionate about assisting clients overcome various mental health concerns as well as supporting them in developing healthier self-esteem, more satisfying interpersonal relationships, and more fulfilling life experiences. We work with individuals, couples, families, and groups - children, adolescents, and adults. We are located in Melbourne's west.

What we are looking for:


  • ·       A compassionate and competent practitioner;
  • ·       Well-developed counselling and therapeutic relationship building skills;
  • ·       Proven expertise in assessment and diagnosis of general mental health problems;
  • ·       The ability to apply appropriate focused psychological strategies;
  • ·       Satisfactory letter-writing skills;
  • ·       Confidence to communicate with other professionals and stake-holders;
  • ·       Full registration with APHRA;
  • ·       Eligibility to apply for a Medicare provider number;
  • ·       At least 3years of experience in clinical (i.e., client-facing) work since gaining registration – although we are willing to consider candidates with comparable experience.



Additional desirable qualities include:


  • ·       Experience and eagerness to work with a wide variety of presentations;
  • ·       Ability to work with couples and/or families as well as individuals;
  • ·       Qualifications and experience in working with children and adolescents;
  • ·       Demonstrated competence in various therapeutic modalities not limited to CBT;
  • ·       Areas of interest that you are willing to further develop (e.g., Bariatric psychology);
  • ·       Availability to consult on weekdays evenings and/or Saturdays.
