Clinical or Counselling Psychologist - Private Practice Associate

Do you want to work in a well-established private practice without the hassles of running your own business and want the option of living in a rural environment?

Healesville is located in the outer eastern suburbs just 1 hour from the CBD. We are a busy private practice consisting of 4 psychologists, 1 social worker and child therapist.  We are  looking to expand due to increasing referrals. We seek a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team as an Associate.  We provide psychological assessment and therapy to children, adolescents, adults and couples presenting with a wide range of problems. 

Preference will be given to those applicants with post-graduate training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, however, other psychologists are also encouraged to apply. Experience working with couples, children and adolescents is also desirable. We are willing to consider new graduates if suitable. 

The Position:

  • Associate position initially part-time (around 1-3 days) with the opportunity to increase hours in the future to full time if desired 
  • Due to high demand for "after-hours" appointments the successful candidate can choose to work either a Saturday 9am-1pm and/or an evening until 7pm.
  • Available for immediate start
  • Reception support included
  • We have a very supportive and friendly team environment, with monthly meetings
  • We offer an excellent financial arrangement. This is not sub contracting and you will have the opportunity to develop your own business within an Associate arrangement.
  • opportunity to work extensively with children and adolescents if desired

Requirements:

  • Full Registration with AHPRA, own professional indemnity insurance
  • Eligibility to be registered with Medicare
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience preferred. New graduates will be considered 
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Experience in the use of EMDR highly regarded or other evidence based interventions
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents, in addition to adults, will be an advantage
  • Experience in Behavioural Support or working with clients with a disability highly regarded
