Our practice has operated for over 25 years as a progressive private psychology clinic based in Geelong, currently staffed by 10 Psychologists. We seek another enthusiastic psychologist to join our team.

You will gain an insight into our treatment approaches by visiting our website, with therapy videos, clinical handouts and outcome research on over 2000 clients demonstrating the effectiveness of the therapy we offer.

Our Practice Principal, Chris Mackey is a Fellow of the APS. He has 35 years’ experience in offering formal supervision to over 80 psychologists and was on the local scientific committee for the 2016 WCBCT congress in Melbourne.

This position will especially suit a naturally optimistic therapist who is interested in a positive psychology approach. Our commitment to this area is reflected in the practice manager and practice principal both authoring books in the positive psychology area, Positive Oncology and Synchronicity: Empower Your Life with the Gift of Coincidence;  2nd edition entitled, The Positive Psychology of Synchronicity: Enhance Your Mental Health with the Power of Coincidence – to be published August 2019.

Our practice is also involved in producing the national Channel 9 TV wellbeing show, Destination Happiness

 The successful applicant will likely have a strong love of learning, excellent interpersonal skills and have gained supervised experience gained in a setting such as a public hospital or clinic. 

Those interested in undertaking the Clinical Registrar program may also apply. We have trained over twenty clinical registrars to date.

A minimum of 3 days per week for this position is ideal, but full-time is preferred. Availability to offer two after hours weekday sessions (no later than 7pm) and a fortnightly Saturday is ideal for our client needs. This is not mandatory and the hours for this position are fully negotiable.

Requirements: For P2 equivalent level, completion of a Clinical Masters or Counselling Masters.

Requirements: For P3 level, Membership of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists plus a minimum of four years’ full-time clinical experience post Clinical Masters or Clinical Doctoral degree.
