Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Psychology Registrar - North Shore Sydney


Anna Bednarek & Associates is currently looking for an enthusiastic and like minded team member for our small and expanding private practice. 

We are located in St Leonards on Sydney’s North Shore and offer treatment to adolescents and adults with a range of psychological difficulties.  The practice has a strong referral base for the treatment of eating disorders, adolescent issues and personality disorders, we also receive referrals for the management of anxiety, mood, grief and loss, addictions and self-esteem concerns.  

The role is ideally suited to a Clinical Psychology Registrar or Clinical Psychologist who has a passion for helping clients achieve psychological wellbeing and vitality in their lives, and is also thoughtful of the therapeutic relationship and the importance of creating a supportive therapy space

The role is currently available on Thursday evenings and Saturdays - although for the right clinician there may be room for some flexibility in work hours/days.

Regular supervision with Anna Bednarek is provided as part of the role.

We are passionate about finding the right match for our practice culture, so with that in mind, our selection process has always been based on choosing the person who will be a good fit within our team.  

Essential Criteria:

Clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic psychological disorders (eg. anxiety, mood, personality).

An interest in working with eating disorders/weight and body image concerns, and complex presentations.

Full registration with AHPRA.

Currently (or eligible to be) a Medicare provider.

Own professional indemnity/public liability insurance.

Own ABN.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience in treating eating disorders in adolescents and adults.

Competence in the provision of the following therapeutic models: CBT, ACT & Mindfulness based strategies, DBT.

Experience and/or interest in working with psychodynamic treatment approaches.
