Who we are seeking:


We are seeking expressions of interest from clinical, counselling and/or health psychologists to join our reputable team of clinical, health, forensic and educational/developmental psychologists, based in a popular inner-north Brisbane psychology practice. 


We are particularly seeking suitable psychologist/s keen to establish themselves in full-time private practice (4-5 days), though we welcome applications for part-time position/s (min 2.5 days). There is also the opportunity for a short-term contract to fill a maternity leave vacancy (6mths) if desired. Flexibility to work after-hours (one evening and/or alternate Sat morning) is highly desirable. Suitable registrars are also welcome to apply.


Willingness to work primarily with adult clients presenting with a broad spectrum of mental health, social-emotional and co-morbid conditions is essential. Experience and willingness to work with adolescents, couples and organisations would be advantageous.


The positions would suit psychologists who are versatile, effective, client-focused and willing to work within the established policies and procedures of the practice as an integral member of our team. 


Start date is ‘as soon as possible’ (negotiable).


Standard AHPRA registration, indemnity insurance and Medicare provider eligibility requirements apply.

  • deliver a range of services including therapy/counselling, assessments, programs, professional supervision or training (your choice);
  • engage in peer supervision with a diverse team of experienced psychologists from various areas of practice endorsement (with a core team who have been with us since we opened in 2013); and
  • partner with colleagues in professional activities of interest (e.g. programs/presentations etc).

You will enjoy working in our spacious and well-appointment premises, centrally located in a popular small business district, 5km from the CBD. A-grade features include free on-site undercover and street parking, four large gender-neutral consultation rooms, a dedicated child/youth/family therapy room, versatile conference/multi-purpose room, staff room and kitchen, internal amenities, ducted air-conditioning, windows/natural light in rooms, automatic opening doors and other disability-friendly features, back-to-base security system and panic alarms, neighbouring allied health services, cafes and more. 

We also provide: 

  • full-time reception, administration and practice support services (2.5 full-time support staff)
  • a cloud-based practice management and online booking system
  • secure messaging service for referrals
  • HiCaps and Medicare/DVA online claiming
  • all invoicing and third-party claims managed 
  • automated email and SMS services to communicate with clients 
  • templates for GP letters and assessment reports, etc 
  • your own practice email address and business cards
  • phone, printer, scanner, fax and wi-fi (NBN ready); and
  • a large library of assessment tools and professional resources. 
You will also be included in marketing and your own self-promotion initiatives will be supported. 
Remuneration of approx. $750 take-home pay per day is achievable per the terms of contract (based on only six appts); plus income from other services relevant to your work or additional interests (e.g. reports, programs, presentations etc).
