Duties: The Psychologist is a role within Department for Child Protection and is accountable to the Supervisor, Clinical Psychologist for: Clinical psychological assessment. Therapy and intervention programs. Psychological consultation services. Development and delivery of psychological training to Department for Child Protection staff. Participation as a member of a special team.

Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Child-Related Employment Screening prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every three years before expiry. Hold a current drivers licence and a willingness to drive is essential. Some intra and interstate travel (including in a small aircraft) involving overnight absences will be required. Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.

Essential qualifications: Masters Degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology. Registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise as a Psychologist
